Inside the season
Winter eventually learns that Jaden “Smoke” Carter—not Malik—is Miracle’s biological father, the result of Malik secretly arranging for Jaden’s sperm to be used in Miri’s conception. The revelation transforms Winter’s understanding of both brothers and intensifies the love growing between her and Smoke. Winter must also confront Christina’s betrayal and attempted claim on the bakery property while repairing the strained relationship with her mother, Denise.
