Inside the season
Malik secretly arranged for Jae’s sperm to be used to conceive Miracle, making Smoke her biological father while Malik remained the father the family understood her to have. That decision binds Malik’s legacy to Smoke, Winter, and Miri long after his death and transforms the meaning of Smoke’s devotion to the girl he has always coached and protected.
