Inside the season
Macknificent Townes recognizes Preston’s potential and builds him into the first superstar Townes developed from the ground up. The career Preston once dreamed about becomes a force with its own demands, deadlines, and mythology. Across multiple musical eras, his ambition repeatedly collides with Spring’s need to preserve her own voice, making their love story a reckoning with the difference between providing for someone and truly making room for them.
