Inside the season
Mack initially offers Talia a path back into music, but she points him toward her son. He tells Preston that he can make him a star, while warning that the road will be difficult; Preston answers that he has been doing difficult his whole life. Mack becomes an architect of Preston’s rise, helping transform rare talent into a commercial mythology whose demands eventually reach far beyond the studio.
