The Rhythm of Us

Your hands speak a language

I am desperate to learn.

Every brush, every grip,

ignites a fire

that no water can quench.

You look at me,

and I unravel,

bare to the bone,

craving the heat of your gaze

like it’s the only thing

keeping me alive.

There’s no time here,

no world beyond this room—

just the rhythm of us,

the pull, the surrender,

the beautiful chaos

of getting lost in you.

About This Poem — The Rhythm of Us

Some connections feel larger than explanation.

They pull you beyond thought, beyond time, beyond the outside world until all that exists is closeness, tension, and surrender.

This poem came from thinking about intimacy as emotional immersion — the way desire can make two people feel completely isolated from everything except each other.

"The Rhythm of Us" is about losing yourself in connection. Not just physical attraction, but the overwhelming energy created when vulnerability, desire, and trust collide all at once.

Some moments are remembered because they happened.
Others are remembered because they consumed you completely.

This poem lives in that second space.
